RoundCon North American Catan Championship Qualifier Tournament Rules Perferance for seats will always be given to players who have not participated in a previous round. • The qualifier prize is non-transferable • A maximum of 96 players will compete in the tournament • The tournament rules may be modified by RoundCon as they deem necessary • Entry is free with weekend membership to RoundCon • The tournament will consist of a Qualifying round, a Semi-Final round, and a Final round • The winner of the Final will receive admission, lodging, and ground transportation from to Gencon Indy 2011 to compete in the NACC finals!! Qualifying Rounds: • There will be six(6) qualifying rounds with a maximum of four(4) boards each round, Players are requested to bring a copy of the game. • The number of boards used in each round will be minimized • Board assignments will be randomly determined • Winner of each board advances to the semi-finals on Sunday • Players may play in multiple qualifying rounds, as long as there are open seats. • Players may only win an advance to the semi-finals once Semi-Finals: • A maximum of 24 players will compete in the Semi-Finals • Semi-finals will consist of three(3) games played by each player • The four(4) players with the highest point totals for all three games will advance to the finals • Board assignments will be determined by the judges based on accumulated point totals • Ties will be decided by highest opponents point totals within the semi-finals • Further ties will be decided by a random draw Final: • A maximum of four(4) players will participate in the Finals • The Final will consist of one(1) game • The winner of the game wins the qualifier Qualifying Round Time Slot Friday: 4PM to 6PM 8PM to 10PM Saturday 10Am to 12PM 2PM to 4PM 7:30 PM to 9:30PM 9:30PM to 11:30PM Semi-Finals Sunday 10PM to noon Noon to 2PM 2Pm to 4Pm Finals 5Pm to 7PM
